Your Passport To Enterprise

 

Learn the Essential Skills to make your New Business a Success.

Date: Starting Thursday 16th September 2010.  (9.30am-3.30pm)

Duration: 13 Weeks (6hrs per week on site learning - Minimum).

Venue: Bay Business Centre.

Training Provided by: North Lancs Enterprise.

Are you a lone or single parent?

Or are you in receipt of Incapacity Benefit or ESA?

Are you considering starting your own business?

If the above applies to you, and you are economically inactive, then join our 13 week course to learn how to prepare and start your own successful business. You will receive £500 once you have started trading, plus £250 after a further 13 weeks trading for your business.

Topics include:

  • Exploring your career choices and the pros and cons of self employment
  • Developing you - setting out on your enterprise journey
  • The edge over your competitors: identifying skills, overcoming barriers
  • Managing your finances: personal survival budget, startup costs etc
  • Managing your finances 2: expenses, Tax and National Insurance
  • and much more

Duration: 8 Weeks - part time course: 1 day per week on site learning

Good customer service skills are important in all industries. You could work in all kinds of employment sectors including travel, telecommunications, retail and finance. You could be the customer's first point of contact with your employer, and may deal with customers face to face or over the phone. This course can give you the basic skills and knowledge to apply for Customer Service roles - you will be covering:

  • Dealing confidently with customers.

  • Effective communication skills

  • Having a customer focus

  • Telephone professionalism

  • Influencing skills

  • Job search and career opportunities

  • CV preparation

  • Interview Skills
